Personal Training

Personal training services are provided online to increase accessibility to safe and professional training services.

Julia is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). As an energetic, compassionate, and dedicated social worker, she provides equitable and inclusive support for populations experiencing complex issues. She has been working in the social work field for just over four years. She is passionate about continually advancing her knowledge in different ways throughout her lifetime and she plans on furthering her education.

She experience working with various populations within different settings and environments. She provides support to those facing complex issues that stem from the unique interplay of dimensions within an individual’s lives. She approaches her clients empathetically, emphasizing their strengths, guiding them towards their valued goals and aiming for sustainable positive change within their lives. She emphasizes working with the client and assessing readiness for change in order to guide the next steps of a client’s journey. In her professional experience, she has worked with children, youth, and adults experiencing mental health issues (such as anxiety, emotion dysregulation, stress, depression, and addiction), existential crisis, and others.

Her work is grounded in anti-oppressive, strengths-based, trauma-informed care. The approaches she uses for clients are flexible. She guides recommendations through collaboration, utilizing her clinical judgment and referring to evidence-based practices that can be tailored to meet the unique needs of clients. As a psychotherapist, she aims to establish a strong therapeutic relationship where clients’ autonomy is promoted, coping skills are developed, and origins are understood in relation to contemporary experiences.

Within individual therapy, she focuses on understanding a client through a holistic view, ensuring all dimensions (biological, social, psychological, cultural and spiritual) are considered to collaborate with clients in order to create individualized plans that meet their needs. She focuses on supporting children, youths and adults experiencing challenges with coping and comprehending emotional and behavioural patterns. She believes it is beneficial to understand the connections of today’s actions to one’s history of trauma, childhood experiences and other intersecting dimensions. She is interested to support clients in various ways and she is dedicated to creating a safe space to process the interconnectedness of the patterns in emotional processing that stem from different aspects and histories of one’s life.
